History

Çanakkale Onsekiz Mart University Women's Studies Application and Research Center was established on October 28, 2009. Between 2009 and 2019, various activities and events were carried out by the Women's Studies Application and Research Center within the scope of the importance of specific days and weeks. On March 21, 2021, with the Regulation amendment published in the Official Gazette No. 31430, the center's name was changed to Çanakkale Onsekiz Mart University Women and Family Studies Application and Research Center.

Mission & Vision

The mission of the Women and Family Studies Research and Application Center

To support educational studies, research, meetings, scientific examinations, workshops, conferences, publications, panels, projects, and similar studies on women and family studies in Turkey and abroad in cooperation with the relevant units of the university.

To encourage the opening of graduate programs on women's studies and to contribute to the successful execution of the programs opened.

To reveal the current problems related to women and families, develop solutions, share them with relevant institutions, organizations, and the public, and ensure their implementation.

To carry out activities to raise women's status in society and public awareness about women's rights.

To increase women's social and economic development and social life productivity.

To be recognized nationally and internationally as a qualified center that highlights the role of women in social life by creating social awareness on all issues related to women and family.
